About this role:

As a Technical Writer you will create and revise technical documents such as Installation Instructions, Service Manuals, Product Data Sheets and Price Pages. You will Communicate with various other teams to ensure that the information contained within each document is accurate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Write and edit and maintain technical documents
• Maintain web-based document library content to ensure that all documents are consistent and up to date
• Meets with engineers, and project managers to learn about specific products
• Research to fully understand products and product lines.
• Plans writing processes and communicates regularly with document approvers to meet project goals and deadlines
• Creates or works with engineering to create diagrams, charts, and other visual aids to assist readers in understanding a product or process.
• Gathers to improve technical documents.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
  
  Required Qualifications:
  
  • Associate's Degree
  • 2 + years of experience as a Technical Writer.
    
    Preferred Qualifications:
    
    • Skilled in Adobe FrameMaker as well as Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop
    • Skilled in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint
    • Demonstrates solid understanding of the HVAC business and literature development.
    • Passion for servicing customers.
    • Ability to listen to customer needs and quickly act to solve their problems, go above and beyond to exceed their expectations.
    • Proven ability to execute with speed and exhibit a bias for action mindset.
    • Ability to think outside the box, innovate and implement progressive, sustainable solutions.
    • Strong ability to work in diverse, cross functional project teams to achieve high levels of performance in a dynamic, changing environment. Successful experience with collaborating and working in a matrix environment.
    • Strong time-management skills with the ability to work with a sense of urgency under demanding deadlines
    • Highly efficient project management abilities and the ability to balance multiple projects
    • Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills
    • Understanding of residential HVAC applications and market dynamics preferred
    • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, while also able to manage multiple priorities
    • Demonstrates self-initiative, sense of ownership, quality, and customer satisfaction orientation
