  • Job Summary: Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. Responsibilities: Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate. Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders. Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. Complexity of Work: Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment.
    • Job Requirements
    • Must be AHA certified.
    • Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start.
    • Current license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start of assignment for all licensed professionals.
    • Pharmacology 1 or 2 exam required to be completed prior to start and updated every 3 years thereafter. Minimum 80% score. Only 2 attempts allowed.
    • Completed prior to first assignment and updated every 3 years thereafter in specialty. Minimum 80% or the national benchmark passing score that demonstrates competency in the area of specialization. Only 2 attempts allowed.
    • Completed prior to start and updated every 3 years.
    • HIPAA, Joint Commission -NPSG, OSHA Topics. Completed within a year of start updated yearly. Minimum 80% score. Only 2 attempts allowed.
    • As of December 1st, 2023, a new edition was released. Traveler must complete with a passing score of at least 80% with only two attempts permitted.
    • Within 30 days prior to the start of the first assignment with the client, updated annually thereafter.
    • Documentation of vaccination series completion or documentation of declination to vaccine to be signed and dated by traveler.

      • Must show proof of the Hepatitis B vaccination.
      • Flu season is October 1, 2024 through March 31, 2025. Exemptions/Declinations accepted, but candidate will be required to wear a mask at all times.
