TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Indianapolis, Indiana, 46202 Pay Information $2,025 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30) Guaranteed Hours: N/A Experience: Minimum of 2 years. MedSurg RN with ICU and PCU experience considered with an additional two years. License: Must have begun the licensing process for an IN or compact license for start dates 4 weeks out. Certifications: ACLS and BCLS required Must-Have: COVID vaccine required unless exempt for medical or religious reasons; two supervisor references Job Description: - Charge nurse responsibilities may be required, with training provided. - Travelers will work every other weekend, but consecutive weekends may be needed for operational needs. - Travelers may be required to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals. - The unit has a mixed model of 32 beds: 15 PCU and 17 MedSurg, specializing in cardio-pulmonary care. - Primary patient population includes cardiac medical, valve replacements, COPD, CHF, pulmonary fibrosis, lung cancer, lung transplant, trach-to-vent, neurodegenerative diseases, flu, TB, and COVID-19. - PCU and MedSurg staffing ratios are 1:4 and 1:5-6 respectively, adjustments may occur based on skill set and staffing needs. - Orientation consists of 12 hours, with modules completed beforehand through an online learning system. - Expectations for call-ins include the necessity to make up missed shifts during the pay period or having it added to the end of the contract. - Modules are non-billable and take roughly 8-16 hours to complete on average. 27251977EXPTEMP Job Requirements Required for Onboarding ACLS BLS Pharmacology Skills Checklist Specialty Exam 5 Benefits of Travel Nursing Advocating for patients becomes more nuanced when dealing with diverse populations.
