Job Description:
*Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Opportunity*Recovery Centers of
America at Indianapolis is currently looking for LPNs to join our
team! Full-time and PRN positions are available.*As a LPN, you
will** Assess the physiological and behavioral health status of the
patient.* Complete initial assessment and develops the plan of
care.* Recognize reports and acts upon reports of deviation in
diagnostic studies.* Accurately assesses and documents vital signs
and signs of pain and ensures treatment of pain* Communicate and
document client's psychosocial status.* Collaborate with treatment
team to include ancillary departments in order to determine
appropriate treatment/discharge plan.* Assist the client in
understanding the nature of the disease of addiction and the need
for treatment.* Assist in maintaining a safe and secure environment
for staff and patients.* Complete necessary documentation as
required by organization Policies and Procedures.* Maintain patient
confidentiality.* Maintain accurate records and documentation of
patient treatments, immunizations, and laboratory results according
to standard medical recordkeeping.* Follow established policies and
procedures for verification of narcotic counts* Administer
medications according to organization policy.* Verify the MAR for
correct medication and administration times.* Monitor behavioral
changes which may be related to medication administration.* Provide
courteous, high quality service to patients and members of the
public by responding to requests for service or making appropriate
referrals in a timely manner.*Job Requirements** Up to date and
active State Practical Nursing license is required.* One year of
experience in a substance abuse treatment or behavioral hospital is
preferred* Knowledge of health care, detoxification process,
addiction, co-occurring disorders and DSM Criteria.* Ability to
read and interpret written information; write clearly and
informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar.* Ability to
speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations;
listens and gets clarification responds well to questions;
demonstrates group presentation skills; and participates in
meetings.* Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and
Outlook.* A former patient may not be hired at the same location
where they were treated until a minimum of one year has elapsed
since the completion of their treatment at that location. Former
patients may be considered for employment at other RCA locations
within a year after treatment. This consideration will be subject
to the standard hiring process and must not compromise ethical
standards, patient care, or the reputation of RCA.*About Us*The RCA
