Job Overview
The Caregiver Supervisor is responsible for overseeing a team of caregivers who provide essential support to individuals with disabilities. This role includes managing schedules, covering uncovered shifts, monitoring planned care activities, and ensuring that caregivers deliver high-quality services in accordance with established care plans and organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities

---*Team Supervision:*
- Provide leadership and direction to caregivers, ensuring adherence to best practices in care delivery.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to caregivers.

---*Shift Coverage:*
- Monitor staffing levels and cover uncovered shifts by coordinating with caregivers and adjusting schedules as necessary.
- Ensure that appropriate staffing is maintained to meet the needs of individuals with disabilities.

*Care Plan Monitoring:*
- Review and monitor individual care plans to ensure the delivery of services aligns with planned goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and caregivers to update care plans as needed.

*Scheduling:*
- Develop and maintain efficient caregiver schedules to optimize coverage while minimizing overtime costs.
- Utilize scheduling software or tools to track caregiver availability and manage shifts effectively.

---*Training and Development:*
- Conduct orientation and ongoing training for new and existing caregivers to ensure understanding of policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Foster a culture of continuous professional development and support caregiver growth.

---*Quality Assurance:*
- Monitor caregiver performance and service quality through observations and client feedback.
- Implement corrective actions and performance improvement plans when necessary.

*Communication:*
- Serve as the primary point of contact for caregivers, addressing concerns and facilitating open communication within the team.
- Coordinate with other departments, management, and families regarding care delivery and any changes in client needs.

---*Documentation:*
- Ensure complete and accurate documentation of care provided, incidents, and caregiver interactions in compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

---*Education:*
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Health Care Management, Social Work, or a related field is preferred.

*Experience:*
- 2 years in a supervisory or leadership position in a relevant field (e.g., healthcare, social services).
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.

---*Skills:*
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse individuals.
- Proficient in scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to manage conflicts appropriately.

*Certifications:*
- CPR and First Aid certification required.
- Relevant certifications in caregiving or supervision preferred.

Work Environment
