About The Role:

As a CBRE Application Developer Lead, you will work with stakeholders to understand business goals and align technology needs.

This job is part of the Application Development job function. They are responsible for providing application software development services and technical support to company projects and initiatives.

What You'll Do:

  • Design, build, and configure applications to meet business process and application requirements.
  • Collaborate with small to medium clients and internal teams to understand user needs. Draft initial proposal and design of software and educate clients on software maintenance.
  • Assess the feasibility of design and project parameters within time and cost constraints. Develop code and design sophisticated software applications based on user specifications.
  • Modify existing software to correct errors or improve performance.
  • Coordinate software testing and validation procedures and programming.
  • Review user feedback and make recommendations on changing the software for better usability.
  • Detail technical specifications for features or system design. Write basic testable, scalable, and efficient codes and direct code reviews.
  • Assist the development team in the design, development, coding, testing, and debugging of applications.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
  • Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of own job discipline and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.
  • Impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within own team and other related teams.
  • Work within broad guidelines and policies.
  • Explain difficult or critical information.

    What You'll Need:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual will need to perform each crucial duty satisfactorily.     • Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Computer Science or Engineering) preferred with 5-8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
    • Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
    • Willingness to take a new point of view on existing solutions.
    • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
    • Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
    • Sophisticated math skills. Ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
