  Provides administrative and clerical support to the QA Department.
  
  
  
  KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - QUALITY ASSURANCE TECHNICIAN

  • Performs daily thermometer and scale calibration verification. Record keeping and logging. - - - -
  • Performs pre-operational inspections on complex machinery. - - - -
  • Performs ATP swabbing and maintains the program. - - - -
  • Performs allergen swabbing and maintains the program. - - - -
  • Assists in Environmental swabbing. - - - -
  • Performs any other task assigned to the QA dept lab techs. - - - -
  • Maintain and organize results from fat and moisture testing, proof spreadsheet, and email to the required group. - - - -
  • Maintains Foreign Materials log and spreadsheet. - - - -
  • Review and log APTEAN quality records daily for failed tests or other trends. - - - -
  • Reviewing Records with external auditors within areas of responsibility. - - - -
  • Carrying out other support functions and activities as required. - - - -

      • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) - - - -
      • Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food industry - - - -
      • Experience in Quality Assurance - - - -
      • Ability to read and interpret Laboratory instructions and procedure manuals. - - - -
      • Knowledge of GMP's, USDA, and OSHA regulations and BRC requirements. - - - -
      • Must be trained in chemical usage and hazard communication. - - - -
      • Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings and/or weekends - - - -
      • Must be able to work in 36-40-degree temperature facility. - - - -
      • Strong sense of urgency - - - -
      • Skill in using a personal computer and various software applications. - - - -
      • Skill in being a self-starter. - - - -
      • Ability to work in a team environment. - - - -
